Welcome to the Plymouth Mega-Ride website and home of the Mega-Ride and the Mega-Ride Charity Ball.  The Mega-Ride is now probably the UK’s largest charity motorcycle ride out with thousands of motorcyclists taking part, not including the pillion passengers or the vast number of spectators that show up on the day.

This year saw the 16th Mega-Ride (13th June 2010), and with the sun shining, there was an impressive turn out on the day.  Thousands and thousands of bikers poured into Lee Mill Industrial Estate for the charity ride which took the bikers to Marley Head and then back into the City Centre, ending up on Plymouth Hoe where the bikers were greeted with a huge array of trade stands, catering stands, live music and even bouncy castles for the kids.

The bikers were asked for a £3 charity donation at Lee Mill and the total amount donated will be spilt 50/50 between the two charities as voted for by the public.  The winning charities for 2010 were Jeremiah's Journey and Gables Farm Cats and Dogs Home

We hope you will continue to support the Mega-Ride and we look forward to seeing you on the day.

Bikers on Plymouth Hoe

The Mega Ride Ball returns by popular request!

Over the past few years the idea of a "night out" for the Mega-Riders had been discussed over many a cup of coffee and 2009 saw the first ever Mega-Ride Charity Ball.  The event was such a huge success we have been asked to host another one.  Saturday 4th September 2010 sees the second Charity Ball and the Novotel in Plymouth have kindly offered to host this event for us again. It's almost poignant that the Mega-Ride team has returned to the Novotel because 16 years ago the first ever Mega-Ride left from the Novotel car park, back then it was just a few hundred bikers!

The Mega-Ride ball is for both bikers and non-bikers and is a formal event, so for one night at least, we get to see the "old man in a suit" and the "missus in a dress".  On the evening we are treated to a welcome drink, superb two course sit down meal followed by coffee and chocolate.  With our own private bar and the fantastic music provided courtesy of DJ Chris Unwin from the Cider Press in Plymouth, we are guaranteed a magical night.  Irish Stand Up,Sit Down Comedian/Singer Blarney Boy Extraordinaire Black Jack Davey will be bringing his Legendary Style to the evening in a bid to entertain you.....  The festivities kick off at 7:30pm and go on until rather late! Again, all profits will go to the two charities as voted for by the public.
